Aquamarine can be used to ease just about any feeling of upset, including "butterflies in the stomach", irritability and nervousness, and even fear. It is similar to Chamomile flower essence in that it is calming. However, it also provides a protective measure as well. This feeling of putting a blanket over oneself can help one to feel safe, cozy, and taken care of in times of need. Another noticeable trait of the gemstone Aquamarine is that is seems to increase the "yin", or receptive traits in the person who is holding or wearing it. It increases the feminine, sensitive and receptive qualities of an individual, whether the person is male or female. This makes it a wonderful elixir for anyone who wants to become a better listener. At the same time, it provides protection from whatever you have been receptive to, in case you became aware of harmful energies in your environment.
Once fully awake again, Aquamarine also helps in interpreting dreams, those mysterious messengers from the inner world. In fact, this elixir improves all aspects of communication. As aquamarine is one of the colors associated with the throat chakra, it supports self expression, especially in explaining how one feels or thinks. It also helps one to calmly receive and maintain clarity on what one wants to express. It alleviates confusion because it helps slow and calm people down, so they become more aware of their thoughts.
