(Excerpt of a Rap Song
©2000 by Donna Cunningham)
It all started in England
in the 1930s,
when Dr. Bach noticed
that folks were hurting.
He looked for a solution.
The man was so kind.
He finally found out
illness starts in the mind.
He didn't like medicine,
he hated pills.
Something new was needed,
so he took to the hills.
He wandered the fields
for hours and hours.
The solution he sought,
he found in the flowers.
I don't mean to imply
that it's all clover,
like, you pop some drops
and your troubles are over.
Nope, it's not like that.
You still have to work,
Reiki can help,
So can bodywork,
You may need to talk it out,
but you cannot shirk
your responsibility
for your own healing
of your abilities.
No, that would be stealing.
But when you use these drops,
it goes a lot better.
Your consciousness grows,
and you shake off the fetters
of your old patterns,
'cause you come to see
that your thoughts are prisons
and you get free.
Yes, you get free.
Listen to me.
You get free!
