LET'S CELEBRATE OUR FIRST BIRTHDAY!

With this edition, Vibration Magazine celebrates its first birthday. One little rotation around the sun, and we find ourselves taking stock of the past year. We certainly have learned a great deal about essences from all of you.

We have heard about essences from north, south, east, and west--essences from plants, stones, places, light sources. We are awed to see the enormous creativity which goes into essence making and are buoyed by the great range of uses for essences. The fruits of this field are ripe indeed!

We have certainly learned a great deal through feedback from essence practitioners and consumers throughout the world--especially from our authors, who are listed in the sidebar. You have shared many, many approaches to using these remedies to meet a great variety of challenges.

Our understanding of the essences has been enormously enriched by collaborating with you, learning to see your work through your eyes, experiencing "aha's" from your shared wisdom, and hearing about your fascinating experiences. To you we say: your enthusiasm and generosity of spirit has been made this particular rotation around the sun a delightful trip!

We have also learned how to put out a top-flight electronic publication--if we do say so ourselves. Collaborating from different parts of the world, we editors have developed a rhythm, understanding, and trust in one another which is lovingly performed teamwork at its best. It's more play than work, really, as it has been such enormous fun and immensely gratifying.

One of the things that makes on-line publishing so much more fun than hard copy is the wealth of visual possibilities. Flowers, in particular, are such a visual treat that we love being able to include photos and drawings of the ones remedies are based. What delight we have had getting to know the artists who have been so important to making this e-zine great (see sidebar).

We also are grateful to our sponsors, those who believed in this project, and who knew our readers were the people they wanted to reach. We look forward to a continued relationship in the future.

Most of all, we are grateful to our readers, for without you there would be no reason for us to exist. Our enthusiastic subscribers are 800 strong and growing. What makes the work so rewarding is your feedback and just knowing how many of you are out there, loving the essences as much as we do. We are a community, though we may never see one another's faces.

So, what's up for this next year? What can we expect? If there is one thing we have learned about vibrational essences, is that you never really know WHAT to expect. And like them, Vibration Magazine will unfold in unique and surprising ways. It would be impossible to predict where our next editions will go, but we will be satisfied if you come along with us for the ride. We wait for inspiration to guide us, as it is always just a heartbeat away.

DESIGN CREDITS: The background came from Hee Yun's Little Place. The birthday gift animation came from Web Utilities. The artist came from the Animation Factory. The birthday cake came from Bryback Manor. The mother and child reading came from Free Victorian Graphics, which apparently no longer has a web site.
