We often underestimate how debilitating Saturn transits can be. Here
are some helpful essences for the physical and emotional exhaustion that
can result, and for getting better acquainted with what your body is
trying to tell you.
Mallow is a wonderful Saturn remedy on many levels, and some people even find that it
eases physical afflictions that flare up under Saturn transits.
Mallow is very much associated with the fear of aging. Saturn transits
can make us feel weary and old, with the weight of the world on our shoulders!
Mallow helps us to mellow and to lighten up.
When transiting Saturn is coupled with Uranus or Mercury, there
can be an unusual amount of tension or strain, physically and mentally, and this can lead
to nervous disorders and insomnia. Mallow is very helpful for both of
these, along with Bottlebrush, for anxiety and stress. This combination
is very calming for the nervous system. Pomegranate is also supportive in
learning to take time out to nurture your body under difficult
Saturn/Moon transits.
Saturn transits to Venus and the Moon can be sobering and anything but light-hearted, especially where
your closest ties are concerned. Problems in relationships can be downright depressing. To stand up
for your emotional needs in relationships, try Centaury. Among its other properties,
Mallow helps build trust between couples. When grieving the loss of a relationship or loved
one, Sweet Chestnut releases unbearable anguish.
The following remedies ease painful patterns in
love. Sunflower and Sagauro restore self-esteem, so that you
feel more deserving of love. Crown of Thorns helps you see that you don't
have to suffer to earn love. Fuschia is great for lending
awareness as to why we enter into and maintain relationships that make us
feel shut out or isolated from the other person. Sticky Monkeyflower is
useful for resolving issues of intimacy, but works better if both partners take it.
Aspects of Saturn to Mars and to the Sun often involve challenges to
self-esteem, and how healthy or balanced the ego is. This can relate to
feeling supported--or not--by peers and superiors. Sometimes when Saturn makes a hard aspect to the Sun, we don't feel supported by anyone, least of all bosses or
parents--usually the father.
Sunflower and Grapefruit are a good combination for dealing with issues around
feeling supported in life. These two remedies help one "stand straight and tall", and to feel more
self-supporting, physically, financially, and otherwise. Problems with
men, or father issues can be helped with this combination.
Add Saguaro for strength and perseverance in following your life purpose.
Saguaro helps one to stay spiritually strong in the face of obstacles and
in situations that drain your vitality and energy. Gentian is for when you feel
discouraged. It would work well with Saguaro, in keeping you from getting downhearted
easily and giving up hope.
For Saturn transits to Neptune, three remedies--Centaury, Clematis,
and Wild Oat--help one visualize and thereby reinvent reality in healthier ways.
Centaury works against being victimized or taken for granted, so one's efforts and contributions are more appreciated. Clematis helps one to be more
clear minded and level-headed about the decisions one makes. Let's make
these transits constructive, lifting the veils of illusion.
Under Saturn/Neptune transits, we often have a wakeup call about our ways of
dealing with the material world. Four Leaf Clover can prompt you to stay away from frivolous and extravagant money dealings, gambling, or other big risks
with your finances. Corn is also good for grounding, leading you to be
more practical with your money.
I have mostly discussed essences for difficult Saturn transits and
aspects, but essences like Mallow can also be used for harmonious
transits of Saturn like trines. Essences for planetary pairs can
work well in any astrological configuration, helping one to progress and
integrate the energies of Saturn more easily. But then again, who ever said that Saturn was easy!
